State Competition in Baton Rouge
April 12-14, 2007 — The top finishers in each category of the GNOSEF are eligible to compete at the Louisiana Science and Engineering Fair in Baton Rouge at Louisiana State University (LSU).

International Competition
May 13-19, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico — Each year two high school students and their teachers represent the Greater New Orleans Science and Engineering Fair at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). This all-expense-paid trip gives students an opportunity of a lifetime — the chance of walking away with some of more than $3 million dollars in cash, prizes, and scholarships. Just ask Betsy Lopez of East Jefferson High School who, in 2005, placed fourth in the Environmental Science category at the Intel ISEF, or ask Kayla Green of John Ehret High School who won a $40,000 scholarship in 2004.
